Fine airborne dust settles constantly, seasonal sandstorms leave a gritty film, and high humidity bakes it onto glass and cladding under strong sun. Left alone, that build-up doesn't just look poor — it can etch glass and degrade sealants and coatings over time.
A practical cadence
There's no single right answer — it depends on your location, height and how the building presents to customers or tenants. As a rule of thumb:
- Villas & low-rise homes: every 4–6 weeks keeps glass consistently clear.
- Retail & customer-facing offices: every 2–4 weeks, since street-level glass shows dust fastest.
- High-rise facades & curtain walls: a scheduled programme, typically quarterly, with more frequent ground-floor attention.
- After a sandstorm: a spot clean, regardless of the regular cycle.
Why a schedule beats one-off cleans
